International arrivals

Travelling from Ireland

Guadalajara International Airport (GDL) is the best airport to aim for. There are no direct flights from Dublin, so expect at least one connection. Dublin–Madrid–Guadalajara is often the tidiest option, while routes through Mexico City or a North American hub may also appear.

Where possible, book the full journey on one ticket, allow a generous connection, and check the transit requirements for every country on your route.

For guests travelling from abroad, we will be organising coaches from Guadalajara to Jalos on Friday morning, with return coaches from Jalos to Guadalajara on Monday afternoon. Please indicate whether you intend to use either coach when submitting your RSVP.

Domestic journeys

Travelling within Mexico

Guadalajara is well connected with Mexico City, Monterrey, Tijuana, Cancún and other major cities. From elsewhere in Jalisco or the neighbouring states, driving may be the simplest option.

Jalostotitlán is in Los Altos de Jalisco, so please check your route and allow extra time for a comfortable journey.

02Two local favourites

Where to Stay

These are the two local hotels we recommend for your stay in Jalostotitlán.

03Pack for the highlands

Weather & What to Wear

Late July in the Jalisco highlands brings warm days in the high 20s°C, cooler evenings, and a good chance of an afternoon or evening shower. Pack light layers and a compact umbrella or rain jacket.

Dress code: Formal

We'd love everyone to dress for the occasion while keeping the Jalisco heat in mind. Linen, lightweight suits, flowing dresses, and other breathable formal fabrics are warmly encouraged—elegant, polished, and comfortable enough to dance all night.

A note to our Irish guests: the Mexican sun is good craic, but it's not your friend. Pack factor 50, reapply it like it's your round, and hydrate accordingly.

While You're Here

Stay a little longer and make a trip of it. There is plenty to explore before or after the wedding.
